Benem - Halloween Concepts

Definitely something I have fun with, and something I might do every year-- Halloween character concepts! These two pieces are the same character, but from last year and this year.

So this character is something of a gunslinger with some holy aspects, so I thought it'd be fun to play with his idea as other things-- such as a vampire last year. That one in particular was a lot of fun, as I wanted to keep his history intact even as a vampire. So I gave him his holy symbol and gun and general gunslinger-type clothing while adding a few pointed edges and motifs (clawed hands, twin-tailed coat, red eyes, pointed ears). I also caught myself adding silver to the metallic parts and changed them to either brass, gold, or iron.

As for this year's, I wanted to invert the idea I had last year and turn him into a vampire hunter. I definitely kept the gunslinger motif, but added a few things that pushed it beyond that. I also decided to keep away from the idea of him being heavily armoured.
