Starchaser
A personal work from 2016, this was the definitive piece that pushed me toward my current art style and definitively away from crisp and clean lines. After I was done, I decided to take another personal work (written) and develop it more to the point I created a mythos surrounding this creature, who I named Starchaser.
First iteration; I more or less had an idea I quickly put onto a canvas.
Experimentation; I painted over the parts I didn't care for and re-painted them.
Final piece! As this was an experimental painting, near the end I decided to be a little more careful with what I changed. The end result is a lot messier than I prefer these days, but I'm still pleased with how it turned out.
